At WC Security Services (WCSS), we believe that true security goes beyond physical protection; it’s about understanding people and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for all.
In preparation for Autism Awareness Month, WCSS has taken a meaningful step by providing autism awareness training to our team. This initiative ensures that our employees are better equipped to interact with individuals on the autism spectrum with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
We are proud to share that over 50% of our front-line staff have already completed this training, strengthening our ability to serve the community with greater awareness and care.
This training plays a critical role in helping our officers:
Recognise and understand behaviours associated with autism
Communicate more effectively in sensitive situations
Respond in a calm, respectful, and supportive manner
A special thank you to our manager, Emma Smith, for leading this important initiative and helping to build a more informed and compassionate team.
As we approach Autism Awareness Month, WCSS remains committed to continuous improvement, community engagement, and creating environments where everyone feels safe, respected, and understood.
