When a threat is detected, FireProtect 2 immediately activates a powerful 85 dB built-in buzzer to alert occupants.

If the device is connected to an Ajax security system, users will also receive instant notifications through the Ajax mobile app, allowing them to respond quickly even when they are away from the property.

These notifications clearly indicate:

  • Which device detected the threat

  • The location of the alarm

  • The time the event occurred


Interconnected Fire Protection

FireProtect 2 detectors can work individually or as part of an interconnected system.

There are two alarm activation methods:

Primary alarm (via Ajax hub)When connected to an Ajax hub, alarms are transmitted to all detectors within 20 seconds.

Fallback alarm (detector-to-detector)Even without a hub, detectors can communicate directly with each other and activate within 60 seconds.

This ensures that everyone in the building is alerted as quickly as possible.


Long Battery Life Options

FireProtect 2 is designed for long-term reliability and minimal maintenance. Two battery versions are available to suit different installation needs:

Replaceable Battery VersionProvides up to 7 years of operation.

Sealed Battery VersionProvides up to 10 years of operation without battery replacement.

Both options provide dependable performance and long operational life.


Reliable Wireless Communication

FireProtect 2 uses Ajax Jeweller radio communication technology, ensuring stable and secure connectivity with an Ajax hub.

Key communication features include:

  • Up to 1,700 meters of communication range in open space

  • Encrypted two-way communication to protect system integrity

  • Frequency hopping to avoid signal interference

  • Automatic power adjustment for energy efficiency

This ensures that alarms and system updates are delivered quickly and reliably.


Quick and Simple Installation

FireProtect 2 is designed with installers and users in mind. The device includes a SmartBracket mounting panel with an adjustable rotation angle, allowing it to be securely installed and aligned easily.

Installation involves just a few steps:

  1. Pair the detector with the Ajax system using the mobile app.

  2. Scan the QR code to connect the device.

  3. Mount the detector using the SmartBracket panel.

Once installed, configuration and monitoring can be managed remotely through the Ajax app.
