The dual-spectrum optical sensor identifies smoke particles with high precision, filtering out steam from kitchens, bathrooms, and humid environments.


Temperature Detection

An integrated thermistor reacts quickly to dangerous temperature increases, detecting fires even when smoke is not immediately present.

  • Fallback: Detector-to-detector communication — alarms within 60 seconds, even without a hub

When connected to an Ajax hub, FireProtect 2 delivers informative in-app notifications, telling you exactly what triggered the alarm and where.

Using Ajax’s proprietary Jeweller radio technology, the detector provides:

  • Two-way encrypted communication

  • TDMA time synchronization

  • Frequency hopping to prevent interference

  • Automatic power adjustment for energy efficiency
